WelcomeHomeThe College of Social Work offers three Graduate Certificate Programs to provide opportunities for individuals to engage in in-depth study in a focused field of practice. These Certificate Programs are intensive for-credit plans of study, designed to meet the need for trained social workers in high-demand fields of practice.

The Certificate of Graduate Study in Gerontology Program addresses the educational needs of full-time and part-time students who will be engaged in planning, administration, and provision of services for older adults.

The Graduate Certificate in Drug and Addiction Studies provides post-baccalaureate students with opportunities to develop competencies in preparation for employment in a range of fields addressing alcohol and drug-related problems.

The Graduate Certificate for Social Work with Military Members, Veterans and Military Families* provides MSW students with specific knowledge and skills necessary to interact in a military setting and in community settings where the needs of veterans and their families are met.

In addition, social work students may enroll in a Certificate Program in Women’s and Gender Studies.
