Analytics Community of Practice

The Analytics Community of Practice (ACP) is an informal group of colleagues from all eight campuses in the University of South Carolina system, including Palmetto College. We welcome students, faculty, administrators and staff to meet and engage with colleagues who share your interest in analytics or who shoulder responsibility for analytics. The community is sponsored by the Division of Information Technology, and is designed to be "member-owned and operated" by colleagues from all USC campuses, divisions, organization units and job roles. Mary Prouty will share about accessible analytics, detailing how to create views and dashboards in Tableau that can be used by people with different disabilities. Accessibility concepts will include color contrast, focus order, alternative text, responsive design and more. Participants will learn why and how accessibility in Tableau can enable people with various abilities to gather insights from data visualizations.
