Biography

Dr. Tenley Murphy joined the faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in September 2015. She also serves as the Director of the Palmetto Health Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship program. She completed a bachelor of science in biological sciences from Clemson University in Clemson, SC and earned a doctor of medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Murphy is a graduate of the Family Medicine Residency program at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia, SC. She also completed a sports medicine fellowship with AnMed Health/Clemson, University in Clemson, SC. Prior to joining the faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, Dr. Murphy was employed by Clemson University as a physician working with their collegiate sports teams. Her special interests areas are sports medicine, eating disorders, nutrition, running injuries, musculoskeletal ultrasound and concussions.
